Sounds interesting. Currently I'm working to embed Planeterra's climate and Biodiversity strategy into our regional work plans. We're using tourism as a tool to get the resources into the hands of community tourism enterprises that are working to enhance their community's resilience and adaptability to the impacts of climate change, and improve their wellbeing through biodiversity regeneration. I'm also managing a Community Tree growing programme, currently working with 4 travel companies to grow trees that benefit communities (e.g. jobs, income, mitigating the impacts of climate change, improving crop yields, regenerating sacred forests, etc.). I'm also managing G Adventures yearly carbon footprint calculation, and facilitating the development of carbon literacy training for their staff, as well as working (slowly) with the product team to be carbon conscious / efficient when developing new trips. On a personal note, we (Millena and I) have a 3.2 acre piece of land in Bulgaria (Balkan Mountains) which we are slowly (and I mean slowly) turning into a retreat space where we'd ultimately like to facilitate trauma-informed, creativity-inspired, nature reconnection retreats. I'm currently in my first year of a three year accredited Eco-psychology course, with the Natural Academy, and regularly facilitate Circle to create safe spaces (usually under a round house, in a wood, around a fire) where men can feel comfortable to be vulnerable. We've also started a mixed gender circle to explore more shamanic inspired practices.
