I want to find an actor, actress, or producer to film my dramatic novel, 'MARCO', a story about an Italo-American spinto tenor. It is sold on Amazon, the Metropolitan Opera House Book/Gift Shop in Lincoln Center, and listed in the Library of Congress. Mrs. Sergio (Eva) Franchi wrote the Foreword. Eva and everyone who read the story said it would be an international box office success, a renaissance of the MGM movies that touched the heart and soul. I envision using Mario Lanza's voice throughout the film.
The story is about my singing experiences (not a Documentary). After I was chosen over all the tenors for a Carnegie Hall production, I was referred by Enrico Caruso's godson Michele Sisca to MET Opera tenor Giulio Gari who chose me to sing Cavaradossi for a special concert. During the rehearsals, I suffered with torturous headaches, off-balance, and soft sounds were like explosions. The best NYC doctors could not diagnose my problem. My dream of an opera career became a nightmare. After suffering for two years I was diagnosed with an Acoustic Neuroma tumor that was crushing my brain. I went to The House Clinic in Los Angeles. Dr. House removed the tumor and my hearing and balance nerves on my right side. My singing videos on YouTube were from the first concert I immediately gave when I returned home from the operation. My mom, a great soprano, was my first teacher. She taught me never to give up. I then studied with Lanza's MGM/RCA conductor, mentor Constantine Callinicos. I never went back to the Opera, but I sang all over Connecticut, New York, and produced/hosted a musical radio show 'MATTINATA' 1993-2000 rated no. 3 by Arbitron. I believe that 'MARCO' as a film will make a lot of money! See the attachments.
